Approaching Retirement

As you approach retirement, you will need to consider the changes that you are set to face, be they financial, social or personal. At this stage, it is important to review your financial plan to ensure you are prepared for these changes and in a secure position to reap the benefits of a safe and comfortable retirement.

At IPF, We have put together the following services to help you with this process as you ease yourself into this new phase of your life.

1) Retirement Glidepath

As you approach retirement there are several issues that need to be taken into consideration, up to, at and after the event.

2) Pre-Retirement Consultations

After your retirement, you will have short / medium and long term needs. It is important that you plan as far ahead as possible for each of these stages.

What a pre-retirement consultation will cover:

  • Factfind of all existing retirement benefit
  • How to maximise tax breaks / minimise tax payable
  • Analysis of your short / medium / long term needs
  • Shaping your pension benefits to meet these needs
  • Assessing your appetite to risk / protecting your funds.

3) Retirement Seminars

Irish Pensions & Finance host retirement seminars every year at various locations around the country. These seminars are free of charge and offer a wide range of speakers.

As part of our ongoing service to our retiring / retired clients, we are delighted to introduce the IPF Retirement Help Desk.

This service is completely free and you can ring as often as you need.
